just checked out your urban portraits and was blown away by the quality of images. I watched your tutorial on getting a gritty look to the image and was very impressed with what I learned. I work in an urban emergency department and often care for the homeless. I found your comments both true to life and touching. Thanks for making this package available.

Reply: Thanks my friend.

Hi Steve,

I came across your website simply by googling online sharp vivid portraits and your Urban Portraits just have everything I am trying to accomplish in my work. Steve, if this is not to much to ask, I want to check with you on how do you achieve such a shart vivid portraits, is it post-production (photoshop, or other similar saftware) Thank you in advance for your answer. I am trying to get this result simply by using my camera's different options, but I am not getting even near to this results. Thank you again,

Cheers,
Vlad

Hi Steve,

I'm an old fan of yours and I'm still loving your work! Anyway, I was wondering if you could do me a tiny favor?? :) See, I joined this photo-contest here in my area and I need A LOT of VOTES to be able to win! I would have a prize of a 10.1 megapixel DSLR if i win! So I was wondering if I could have your vote? And also if you could let people know about it so they could vote as well? You know, like promoting it to other people so they could vote too :D. Here's the link to the photo I submitted to the contest:

Hello Steve,

at first i want to excuse my "not so good english" :D I hope it is not too worse and you can understand what i want to tell you ;)

Your pictures are absolutely stunning! I was looking for new Wallpapers for my Windows and so i came to your site.
I was lokking around and then i got stunned... i saw the pictures "Can't stay here forever" one and two and i stared at them for minutes!
I love pictures of this kind!
The old Barns, the colors of the sky and the fields...
God! I wish i was there :)

Very good work! Keep it up!

Best regards:
Stephan

Reply: Thank you so much for the kind words Stephan! Your English is great! Those are two of my favorite images! It was a gorgeous day and a storm had just started to clear when I stumbled across that old barn. Thanks again and I wish you and your family all the best!

Your website is most pleasant. Your photographs are stunning. I love the old Corolla. Found you by looking for a guestbook - you have set this up very well. Did you do your own site? On a Mac by any chance? I am still looking for a guestbook - if I could find one that required validation, as well as approval, I'd be a happy camper. Nice going on the site, it is fabulous..

Reply: Thank you! I sent you an email.

Really enjoyed your tutorial on night photography. I have a canon 40D but need to acquire some good lens so I can do some nightscapes. I have been doing astrophotography until now but it's getting to be to heavy for my age. Please keep up the good work, it's great, bob

Thank you for the kind words! I am glad to hear that you ran across my night photography article. I have quite a bit more under the tutorials section of my website. You should consider jumping into the forums (http://www.paxtonprints.com/forums/index.php) - it's a great place to show off your work. The group is made up of many new photographers who are just getting started too. They offer wonderful advice and support.
