Hi Steve,

I really appreciate your work on sharing your knowledge. I have just written a post on my blog about your site.

Could I possibly use a down-sized picture you made as an illustration of the post?

Best regards,
Tibor

Reply: Absolutely! Thank you for featuring my tutorials on your blog! I plan to make many more available this year.

Steve,

Your photography is an inspiration. As an amateur photographer, I feel great inspiration, and am also humbled by great work such as yours. I especially like the urban, high contrast effect you have used to tie together your gallery, "The Least of These". Is there any possibility that you could put together a tutorial on the basics of how these images were created?
Again, thank you for sharing, and all your hard work.

Regards, Guy

Reply: Thanks for the compliment Guy! I have had a lot of fun working on the series. I may put together a tutorial on the processing style I use for my urban portraits sometime in the near future. Thanks again!

Lovely images, and clear, well-done tutorials. In the spirit of sharing: If you hold down the shift key when dragging one version of an image over another (as in "Light"), then the images will be in perfect registration ~ no need to line them up. Also, when working on a mask, you can set your brush colour to 50% gray. There is no build up of the effect when you paint with 50% gray in a mask.

Finally, you have a great voice for video tutorials ~ calm, measured and authoritative.

Thank you for taking the time to share your techniques.

Reply: Thanks for dropping in Heather. Great points!
